The Singing Canary Safety Valve
Introducing “The Singing Canary’s” automatic cut-off and reset valve for natural gas, in the event of a break in the supply.
Life for an actual canary in a coal mine could be described in three words - short but meaningful. Early coal mines did not feature ventilation systems, so miners would routinely bring a caged canary into new coal seams. Canaries are especially sensitive to methane and carbon monoxide, which made them ideal for detecting any dangerous gas build-ups. As long as the canary in a coal mine kept singing, the miners knew their air supply was safe. A dead canary in a coal mine signalled an immediate evacuation.
The Singing Canary detects odourless carbon monoxide, natural gas through sensors. Detection will wirelessly trigger the actuator, sound the alarm and shut off the gas supply
It’s as simple as that.
Our systems provide the highest level of protection against the danger of Carbon Monoxide, Explosive Gas Leaks by not only DETECTING the threat but also by CLOSING the gas supply.
The Singing Canary systems are approved to: -
EN50291 (Carbon Monoxide),
EN50194 (Combustible Gases),
Wireless System
The Wireless System can combine up to 3 Detectors - CO, LPG and Natural Gas - with either Shut off Device via a Control Panel. Detectors are located around the Home and in the event of an alarm provide Visual and Audible Alarms in the normal manner but also send a wireless signal to the Control Panel which controls the Shut off device and closes the gas supply to prevent further casualties.
